TITAN: Your
Critical Thinking AI Coach

Learn to question better. TITAN helps students, educators and citizens build the skills to detect disinformation and think independently

A new and easy
way to tackle information integrity

TITAN is the first AI-powered Socratic coach (chatbot) designed to strengthen critical thinking and media literacy as a long-term defence against disinformation.

Unlike fact-checkers or answer-driven AI tools, TITAN doesn’t give you answers, it helps you find them.

Through guided dialogue, it teaches users how to question, analyse, and evaluate information in an increasingly complex media landscape

SEE THE WINNERS OF OUR DESIGN CHALLENGE

CRITICALLY YOURS was a global design challenge inviting students, graduates, creatives, and teams to create interactive experiences and short videos that enhance our AI-powered Socratic chatbot, helping people build media literacy and critical thinking against disinformation.

From a field of inspiring submissions, two winners were chosen for their visionary, human-centred designs that brought TITAN’s mission into real-world learning contexts.

Why TITAN

In a world flooded with information, truth isn’t always obvious.
TITAN doesn’t give you the answers, it trains you to ask the right questions.
Through short, Socratic dialogues and guided microlessons, users learn to slow down, reflect, and reason

1. Engage in Dialogue

Converse with TITAN about real or simulated online posts.
It challenges your assumptions, nudges reflection, and invites you to explore your reasoning.

2. Learn Through Microlessons

Each exchange unlocks a short lesson, on bias, evidence, or emotional language, building critical thinking step by step.

3. Measure your Growth

An optional built-in assessment tracks progress, showing how your reasoning evolves over time.

“With the digital revolution under way, citizens must be able to make choices where views can be expressed freely. Facts must be distinguished from fiction, and free media and civil society must be able to participate in an open debate, free from malign interference. Therefore, the EU is taking action to make our democracies in the EU more resilient.”
